Reporting Services 2008 R2 lacking important printing options

Hi there,

In the process of working my way through creating reports using the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, I found that getting the report to look good on paper is very difficult. There is no fit to page (resize according to page size), and no center to page (horizontal/vertical).

In order to fit the table I had to resize each column and row, and resize the fonts within the textboxes. Now in Design view, the rows are squeezed to a point where I can't even read what is or if there is anything inside each textbox (many just appear blank).

Adding to that, since the data is dynamic (number of rows depends on the activity for the month), this is not a long term solution, and I may have to adjust the table often.

I tried exporting to adobe, and tiff (pdf works slightly better), but then it is still another step to a process that is suppose to be simple and intuitive as printing a document (which we do a lot of) should be.

If somebody could enlighten me how to improve this situation, it will be greatly appreciated.

John
