hi All,
we have few reports(rdl not rdlc) that is being displayed in the web application. if there is nay problem in dataset or datasource (e.g connectivity ) it displays the system generated message to the user. i want mask that and show some custom message to the user, how can i do that?

i am using report server in native so now i install sharepoint in windows 7 ..Now i changed that report server native mode to share point integration mode..now i try to open that Web server URL its shows error like this
"The report server has encountered a configuration error. If the report server is configured to use SharePoint integrated mode, verify that the server is joined to a SharePoint farm and that the Report Server service account has been granted access to the SharePoint farm".
So i open that central Adminstrator page in share point and try to configure that report webserver URL but there also i am getting error

I have a slightly compicated tablix nested into another tablix.
Everything works fine except there are no page breaks in the report output in inner tablix .Page breaks appear only between groups of outer tablix, but both tablixes have no page break options
I’ve checked KeepTogether properties – they all are set to FALSE.
This bevavior looks like a bug.
Is there a workaround?

My question is about reporting services authentication extension and corresponding stuff (MS SQL 2008R2).
I wrote an authentication extension (it is based on Microsoft sample, of course) and it worked fine.
Вut recently I had to install my system on Windows 2003 Server computer and now extension’s dll returns exception from method GetConfigurationFilePath, right from the following line:
<//span>“foreach(ManagementObject instance in instances)”.
Probably WMI on this computer is broken, or some win2003 server stuff is involved. It happened on client's machine, so scrupulous debugging etc. is not possible.
I temporarily solved the issue by hardcoding the configuration file path.
Is there any other way do get this configuration file path (I mean, programmatically, from dll)??

So I know that its a known issues that when you use shared datasets with subreports, the subreports cannot be previewed in BIDS. They work once deployed but you cant preview them in development.
Does anyone know if there is a fix coming for this?
Microsoft appears to have closed this connect issue but havent actually provided any fix or information about it.

What is the expression I should write to implemet this format. I know we had to do modulus 2 expression..but I am getting some error .

I am desperately hoping some expert here will be able to help me out.
We are facing a peculiar issue where in when we try and export a report, we are getting the default file name as "Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" instead of the actual report name.
We are working with SSRS 2005 SP2. All reports are server reports and are accessed through the report viewer control.
Any advice on why this issue is coming and how it can be resolved will be greatly appreciated.

We have 3 different servers supporting the SP 2010 architecture which are Sharepoint admin, WFE, SQL server 2008 R2. I have installed SSRS with share point integration mode on the sharepoint admin server. We were able to deploy a SSRS report on to the sharepoint portal and open it from inside our network. But I am not able to access the same report from outside the network. It says " Error, For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors" . I have enabled the remote errors from the SSRS engine properties but I do not see any error either or report logs, SQL logs or windows logs. Our sharepoint portal is externally accessible, I have added the site to trusted sites too.
what am I missing here. Any suggestions please

I've got no idea what this is, any help would be appreciated. I don't know what could potentially cause this, so I don't even know how to start looking for a fix.

The pdf report(s) renders and is saved to the location it is meant to, but devoid of any charts. A data driven subscription controls the rendering.
Is this possible to create Stck Column Chart with series lines across the bar?

Beginner using SSRS 2008 R2 - I need to build a report that tells be the tables used in all the SSRS reports on our reporting server. I'd like it to look like this:
Folder / Report Name / Data Source / dataset name / Tables Used
Is this possible? Does anyone have a query that can produce this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am using SSRS 2008 R2. I have problem in Date Parameter whose type is Date/Time and it is like date picker.
When we write half date and go to select date from date picker then date is displayed in DateTimeOffset type which stops execution of my report.
->error: Conversion from type 'DateTimeOffset' to type 'String or Date' is not valid.
Steps to get issue (Date is displayed in DateTimeOffset instead of DateTime(Normal)) :
1) Create Date parameter with Date/Time type.
2) Run report so Date Parameter display as Date Picker control.
3) Write half date in Date parameter like 1/1.
4) Now without moving elsewhere select Date picker symbol and select any date.
5) It will display date in type of DateTimeOffset(1/1/2012 12:00:00 AM +05:30) instead of Date(1/1/2012).
If Anyone have found this issue and got solution then Please send me solution.

I have SSRS reports on sql 2008.
Some of my users can run the reports no problem but some of them keep getting the following error message:
"An error occurred during client rendering. An error has occurred during report processing. Cannot create connection do data source 'DataSource1'"
Can't figure it out.

Hi i am trying to do the following.
Calculate the percent diff between to columns
So i want to take the Waitlist sum this then sum the overboundary and divide this to get a percentage, as a line total not just a grand total
